Meadows are the first type of biome you will encounter in Valheim. The meadows are pleasant and resources are plentiful. You will find lots of wildlife and a few creatures in the meadows, but generally, they are safe during the day. Gathering Resources
Meadows are full of the basic resources you’ll need in Valheim. Stones and sticks are plentiful in the meadows and you can easily collect what you’ll need to start progressing through the game.
Wood
Wood and stone are the first resources you will need in Valheim. At the beginning of the game, wood is collected from sticks on the ground or punching saplings. You can craft a stone axe from these materials and begin cutting down Beech Trees.
Stone
Stone is going to be useful throughout the game and it’s available from day one. You will see small stones in the ground that you can dislodge and collect. After you defeat the first boss, you will gain access to some items that can be used to gather stones more efficiently.
Food
Raspberries and Mushrooms are available at the very beginning of the game. They are mostly found in the forested regions of the Meadows — Raspberries grow on bushes, Mushrooms in the earth. Food is one of the most important aspects of Valheim. You can eat these to gain higher maximum stamina and health and they also increase your stat regeneration.
