Honey comes from beehives you construct, is used in lots of cooking recipes, and is the base material required for every mead in Valheim. You’re going to want a steady supply of honey starting (at least) in the Iron Age. So, start collecting those queen bees early and set aside a place in your base for your apiary.
Honey provides the most healing in the game but otherwise doesn’t provide great stats. In combination with early-game meats that provide health, it can be a decent combat food for the Bronze Age.
